The Great Tribulations!....will Christians experience it?

Many teachings going on around church circle these days subscribe to the opinion that the church will be raptured before the great tribulation. In other words, Christians will not experience tribulation; hence they will have checked out before the great tribulation. Some other schools of thought hold different opinions. What is your? Provide scriptural support.
